Build your own sushi. I am a big big fan of this place. My first visit was a couple of months ago and I've been there probably 10 times since. I've never had a bad experiance. Always delicious, always friendly, always clean, always fast. Love it.

Just ate at this place today for the first time. Definitely has like a chipotle feel to it but I loved how fast I could get in and out. I also loved that I got to build my own sushi instead of eating some things I don't enjoy. Will definitely be going back!

I had lunch here today and it was the epitome of amateur. I got a smoked salmon roll and my partner got a vegetarian roll, both tasted about the same or less flavorful than rolls I've purchased from the grocery store in the past. I expect better from a restaurant than from a grocery store deli. Also, they used the same cutting machine for raw seafood and vegetarian rolls without even asking. If you have a shellfish allergy then this place could be bad news, if you're going to risk it then just hope nobody else bought a shrimp roll that day.

Overall, I had a good experience. The place is very clean and modern.. It's a welcoming ambience. I went during prime lunch time, and usually all of the Crestview restaurants are packed. No wait time, I was helped immediately. I'm used to Fusian and their super fresh ingredients, so I may be spoiled, but I was a little disappointed when the avocado on the line was fully browned, but everything else looked great. It was free drink and cookie day so who could complain about that. Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the avocado. The roll was delish! Would definitely recommend

Good sushi , clean and quick atmosphere, great service ! Would give five stars but felt prices were a tad high for one roll( sizes Are big ) and not a ton of raw options. Will definitely go again!!

Nice casual place to go eat! I walked in having no idea what I was getting into. The server explain it to me clear and simple. The roll was great. And it was not expensive. Great experience overall.

Delicious, affordable sushi at a great location. What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help us, each employee impressed me. I walked away feeling wonderful about my experience. Though I live a good distance away, the staff made such an impression that I will be more than willing and happy to go out of my way to visit again soon.

This is just a disappointing rip off of Fusian. The employees didn't really know how to work the equipment. The quality was mediocre. It's a nice concept, but poorly executed. I'll eat at Fusian next time.

Chipotle for sushi. Pedestrian sushi, interesting that they have soy options. Quite good though.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's BIRTHDAY! I am uploading photos of the absolutely STUFFED sushi rolls we ordered: Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna, Tuna, Salmon.... All so good! You really gotta try this place. IF your not sure what you'd want, just ask, they are happy to help!

$13 for 1 roll, miso and iced tea is no deal. Yes it is novel because you can choose your ingredients like chipotle, but I left hungry. I will go find a real Japanese restaurant. I got shrimp tempura roll. I would rate it average to below average. Tempura was not very crunchy.

Chipotoreスタイルで、好みの巻寿司を注文できます。全て目の前で作るので衛生面では安心です。味噌汁もあります。アメ食に飽きたら気分転換に使えるかも。 Chipotre Style. If you like choices, you can order your special. They also have wraps & Miso soup.

I ordered a spicy tuna roll and ended up throwing it away. The avocado and cucumber weren't ripe and some of the rice was hard, and the nigiri was gross as well. Luckily the tuna seemed legit but the rest was awful. $9 for a sushi roll and it had to be thrown away. The place was empty during weekday lunch, I should have known better.

I had such a great experience at blue koi for my first visit! I love that you customize your roll and get whatever you want! They have a very nice selection and are so fast! I just happened to go at happy hour which is awesome and makes me very happy! Just having some mommy time alone and blue koi was an awesome choice for dinner! The is one of the best sushi places iv been in Northern Kentucky. I will be back blue koi, thanks for the yummy dinner!

Sushi has become one of our favorite "go-out" pursuits. There are becoming quite a few to choose from in the Cinci area, and the competition means that it's just going to get better. Blue Koi is like 'Chipotle meets Sushi.' The menu was a bit confusing to me at first, but sometimes it just takes me a minute to get my bearings at a new place. The pace of this place is quick, easy sushi. We ordered 3 rolls and a wrap for our party, and that seemed to meet our hunger. As you can expect, the sushi is fine. Not amazing, not bad, just fine. The staff is friendly and was mostly helpful as we decided...they weren't pushy (and they weren't busy when we arrived). They do not include ginger and wasabi automatically, you have to ask for it, though it is included in the price. I would agree with other reviewers, it's not a 'bargain' sushi place. There are definitely better deals in the city. They have one of those new-fangled Coca-Cola machines with 5-million choices. That will draw some folks. Overall, if I'm in Crestview Hills for a lunch meeting, I'll drop by Blue Koi.

Blue Koi is the new kid on the block as far as NKY sushi goes. I've been patiently waiting for Fusian to open over here, but now I no longer need to wait, as Blue Koi is the exact same concept and is just as tasty! The menu is just about the same at both places, it's the Chipotle of sushi. You build your roll as you go, or choose one of their pre-selected specialty rolls if those sound good. I went with a build-your-own roll: seaweed wrap, rice on the outside, with tuna, avocado, jalapeno, green onions, eel sauce, and sesame seeds. The roll was delicious, and the flavors went great together. The avocado was nice and ripe, which is good. Last time I went to one of these fast food sushi places, the avocado was hard as a rock. The rice here isn't as good as your most basic of sit down sushi joint, but that was to be expected. It tasted like it needed more of that vinegar sugar mixture that makes sushi rice so yummy. One roll is 10 pieces and is pretty filling. On a good day, I could eat two though, which would get expensive at $7.50ish a roll. The decor was nice, with modern looking bamboo looking tables and clean lines. The place was spotless, especially since I got there right after 11 and was probably their first customer of the day. You could tell that the staff was still learning the ropes, but they were friendly and did a good job making my roll nice and tight. It didn't fall apart at all. Overall, this is a great lunch or dinner spot, and I hope they keep up the good work.

I was a little apprehensive to try this place at first, as NKy is not quite the culinary mecca...also we went on a Friday at 6:30 and it was empty inside however, we were thrilled with our experience! The store was very clean, staff was friendly and eager to answer questions/ serve us, they have chicken and beef (cooked) as well as soy rolls and your more traditional choices. They are quick, very similar to Fusion in Cincy but open on the weekends and wo having to deal with downtown! Only suggestion I have is that they get some edamame as appetizers. Hope their business picks up so they can survive in crestview!!

Awesome sushi rolls! It's great being able to build your own rolls and your friends can get a wrap if they're not into sushi. The chipotle mayo and sweet soy sauces are DELICIOUS. The guys working knew exactly what they were talking about and answered each of the questions we had. Definitely going back! I need to check it out during happy hour because it is 2.00 off!
